Summary

Under the supervision of the Respite Program Supervisor, the main responsibility of this position is to accompany and stimulate, through engaging activities, the elderly person with a loss of physical or cognitive autonomy, while their caregiver can benefit from a few hours of respite.

Your main responsibilities towards the user will be to: offer support and stimulating activities ensure an attentive and reassuring presence, provide active listening, assist in the users daily living responsibilities provide social interaction and to be a replacement so the caregiver can rest or pursue other activities.

To take advantage of this opportunity, you need experience working with seniors in loss of autonomy, have your up-to-date MPSP training (an asset) and be bilingual.

Important assets include: you enjoy working with this clientele, are discreet, and maintain confidentiality, have the ability to detect the users needs and adapt accordingly, are autonomous, dynamic, and creative. and are also recognized as a good team player.

Working conditions:

Part-time position, with a flexible schedule according to your availability.

Mandatory basic and continuous training, and team meetings

The salary is $17.78 per hour.
